The cottage is located at the far end of the Loch Rannoch a little distance away from the Loch. This delightful cottage caters to families and children over 10 years old, accommodating up to four guests with ease. Available for rent throughout the year, Granary Cottage offers modern comforts amidst the rugged splendour of the Scottish Highlands.
The Accommodation
This two-bedroom cottage was once a grain store for Camusericht Farm before its thoughtful conversion in 2008. Upon arrival, guests are embraced by a welcoming ambiance, highlighted by a welcoming lounge featuring a log-burning stove. The cottage is equipped with oil-fired central heating and double glazing, ensuring a comfortable stay regardless of the season. Conveniently, two designated private parking spaces are located nearby, while enclosed front and rear gardens provide a secure environment for furry companions to explore.The well-appointed kitchen and dining area boast modern appliances, including a dishwasher, fridge-freezer, microwave, induction hob, washing machine and oven. In the comfortable lounge, a Morso wood-burning stove sets the scene for cosy evenings, enhanced by excellent broadband WiFi and a large Smart TV. Granary Cottage strictly prohibits smoking/vaping and the use of candles.
Upstairs, two generously sized bedrooms await, furnished with a double bed in the master bedroom and two single beds in the second room. Guests can enjoy restful nights on brushed cotton bedding, complemented by throws. The house bathroom features an easy-access walk-in shower and ample towels, including ones for drying off pets after outdoor adventures.
Outside, the enclosed rear garden offers a charming patio area with table and chairs, ideal for al fresco dining. Guests can request a gas BBQ for added convenience.
The Area
Given the cottage's remote location, it's advisable to pack accordingly, as shops, bars, and restaurants are at least an hour's drive away. Additionally, ensure you have sufficient fuel for your stay, as the nearest petrol station is approximately 25 miles away in Blair Atholl.Rannoch presents an array of outdoor activities, including Munro bagging, hiking, cycling, paddleboarding, fishing, and photography. Nearby towns such as Pitlochry, Aberfeldy, and Loch Tummel offer further exploration opportunities, making Granary Cottage the perfect base for discovering the breathtaking landscapes of the Scottish Highlands.
