Applegarth Holiday Cottage offers charming self catering accommodation near Grosmont in North Yorkshire. We are located in a peaceful spot near Whitby and only a two minute walk away from the North York Moors Railway station.

Accommodation

Our cosy cottage sleeps up to 4 people and is perfect for families or a group looking for somewhere special to stay.

The cottage dates from the 1860s and comes with a lovely sitting room with FreeSat TV and a wood burning stove. A well-equipped kitchen has a Neff oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and a wood burning stove. A walk-in pantry comes with an additional fridge/freezer, iron and ironing board.

Bedrooms consist of a double and a twin room. One additional fold out bed is available for children and young people. The bathroom comes with an electric shower over the bath and a toilet. Additional inside cloakroom/WC

Outside there is a secluded lawned garden with seating and patio. A great place for a morning coffee whilst the sun is shining.

Visiting Grosmont & Exploring North Yorkshire

We are only a two minute walk from the centre of the village, the station and the Co-Op. In the other direction is a delightful footpath which leads through a tunnel to the North Yorkshire Moors Railway engine sheds. In nearby Whitby, you can enjoy a tour of the Captain Cook Memorial Museum or visit one of Whitby’s many beaches. Sandsend is one of the most popular and perfect for all the family. Lots of superb attractions are in the local area:
