Chalet Coll in Back provides delightful self catering accommodation on the Isle of Lewis. Located 30 miles off the northwest coast of Scotland, the Outer Hebrides is ideal for an idyllic holiday. The Western Isles has lots of stunning natural beauty to see as well as a variety of great attractions.

Accommodation

Our charming cabin offers a cosy retreat in a lovely setting. The cabin is tastefully furnished, well insulated and sleeps up to 4 people, great for a family holiday or getaway with friends.

The lounge is a brilliant spot for unwinding in after a day on one of Lewis’ gorgeous beaches. There is comfy seating and a TV to watch your favourite shows. A fully equipped kitchen comes with a fridge/freezer, washing machine, microwave, gas cooker and a tumble drier in the small shed.

Two beautiful bedrooms are available: a double and a single bedroom with a bunk bed. Bed linen, towels & a hair dryer are provided, more towels etc can be provided on request. A fold-away single bed and travel cot can be provided. The shower room comes with a power shower.

Outside there is a decking area, perfect for taking advantage of the sun on a warm, summer’s day. Outdoor storage areas are available.

Visiting Back & Exploring The Western Isles

We are in a fantastic location for exploring the local area, with stunning sandy beaches only 6 miles away from our main town Stornoway. In Stornoway there is a golf course, astro turf pitch, go-karting and a paintball action area. Visit the brand-new sports complex which comes with a 25-metre pool, climbing walls, fitness suite and soft play area. Take a scenic cruise ride by boat around the area and enjoy a bit of culture at a museum or art gallery.

The west coast has a variety of wonderful beaches and to the north of the island you will be able to see an array of seabirds as well as whales, dolphins and porpoises. Enjoy an atmospheric walk along the dark moorland and rugged mountains or visit one of the charming fishing villages. Further attractions to visit include:
