Visiting Badwell Ash & Exploring Suffolk

During their stay guests can watch birds while relaxing in their lodge; early morning is typically the best time of day for birding since many birds are searching for food which makes them easier to find and watch. Our three lakes are all stocked with fish including carp (up to 28lbs in weight), bream, tench, roach, rudd and perch. Fishing can be enjoyed for free, all year round, and there are many different areas around the lakes from which to fish.

The lodges are on the edge of Badwell Ash village, with its local shop, off licence and pub all within a 10 minute walk. The next village, Walsham Le Willows, has an award winning butchers. There are several good restaurants and pubs and many pretty and historic villages and towns to explore in the surrounding area either by foot, bicycle or car.
