Accommodation
Our elegantly furnished apartment sleeps up to 2 people and is ideal for romantic getaway in a brilliant location. The apartment is brimming with natural light from the high ceiling and many windows, whilst boasting glorious views of Hay Castle and the bustling square.This wonderful apartment is accessed by a gorgeous oak staircase, original to the building when it was a manorial courtroom. A relaxing living area, once a courtroom, cinema and church, offers a cosy yet stylish space to unwind in after a day of exploring the area. The room has a feature fireplace and comes with a Smart TV and DVD player. A large three-seater sofa and armchair offer lovely spots for reading a good book and you can savour superb views over Hay Castle from the large windows.
A well-equipped kitchen/diner comes with everything you need for making some delicious home-cooked meals. Appliances include an electric oven and hob, fridge (with small freezer compartment), microwave, dishwasher, electric kettle and toaster. We also have breakfast tea, herbal teas, ground coffee and store cupboard basics, such as salt and pepper and local cooking oil. On arrival, you can also look forward to wine and chocolates.
The bedroom has a comfy king-size double bed, perfect for a restful night’s sleep. Luxurious features include feather bedding and Egyptian cotton bed linen. There is also a built-in wardrobe and DAB Roberts Radio. The en suite shower room includes a toilet and heated towel rail. Towels and guest soap are provided.
Visiting Hay-on-Wye & Exploring Powys
Hay-on-Wye is renowned for its second-hand bookshops, literary festival and glorious local scenery. You visit one of the many independent boutiques or enjoy amazing natural beauty at the Black Mountains or the Brecon Beacons. Running below Hay is the River Wye, popular for canoeing, with lots of companies providing canoe hire. Walkers are spoilt for choice, with Offa’s Dyke Path and the Wye Valley Walk passing through Hay. Excellent attractions to visit include:Hay Bluff.
