The Penstar Bunkhouse near Libanus offers charming self catering accommodation in a beautifully converted old barn. Nestled on a pretty working farm, we offer direct access to the Brecon Beacons via the Taff Trail. We are also in a brilliant location for discovering all that Powys has to offer.
Accommodation is for 20 people including facilities for those with disabilities in 2, 6 and 12 birth rooms. There is a drying room and fully equipped kitchen with ample living space and under-floor heating. This property is suitable for people with limited mobility.

We are perfect for groups requiring a wide range of activities to enjoy. Pen-Y-Fan and Corn Du are the highest summits in the National park, accessible from the Bunkhouse. Craig Cerrig-gleisiad National Nature Reserve is easily reached by following the Taff Trail and is a good example of Old Red Sandstone escarpment. There are glacial features such as moraines and scree. Climbing, pony trekking and caving are also available in the area.
Our self catering bunkhouse is located in the beautiful Brecons which has fantastic scenery and lots of wildlife. There are many outdoor activities in this are including climbing, walking, horse riding and many more. This area is also a great place to see lots of attractions like Wye Valley, Brecon Cathedral and many other places.
