Chancery Cottage offers self catering accommodation nestled in the heart of Hay-on-Wye via Hereford in Powys. Chancery cottage is an cosy, two bedroom cottage in the heart of Hay-on-wye with fibre wifi and private parking. The perfect place for browsing the bookshops and getting away from it all.

Step inside to a pretty living room with original oak beams, feature stone fireplace, leather sofa and armchair, smart TV and DVD. The spacious kitchen/breakfast room is fully fitted with a hand-painted kitchen and warm Spanish terra-cotta floor tiles. Appliances include an electric oven, gas hob, fridge, freezer, washing machine and dishwasher.

We have two double bedrooms, both beds are fitted with comfy mattresses for comfort. The rooms share a ground floor bathroom with includes a walk-in shower and roll top bath.

A stable door leads from the kitchen to a secluded south facing patio at the rear of the cottage, a great spot for al fresco dining over a few glasses of wine.

A small market town which lies on the Wales / England border mid on the banks of the River Wye. It is situated just off the main Hereford Road approximately 21 miles from Hereford or 15 miles from Brecon. Over recent years it has become famous as being the largest second-hand and antiquarian book centre in the world. Hay-on-wye is excellent for spending time browsing in. the many varied book and print shops or relaxing in the fine cafes, restaurants and hostelries which the area has to offer.

The surrounding breath taking scenery of the Black Mountains and the Wye River offers such delights as pony trekking, cycling, canoeing, fishing, sailing and hill walking.
