Accommodation

Chancery Cottage is a delightful oak beamed and spacious two double bedroomed cottage which sleeps four, great for an idyllic getaway.

The cosy cottage is equipped with a lovely sitting room which includes a wonderful exposed brick fireplace housing the wood burner-effect stove, sofa, TV and DVD player. The spacious kitchen/breakfast room is fully fitted with a hand-painted kitchen and warm Spanish terra-cotta floor tiles. Appliances include an electric oven, gas hob, fridge, freezer, washing machine and dishwasher.

We have two beautiful carpeted double bedrooms, both beds are fitted with comfy mattresses for comfort. The rooms share a ground floor bathroom with includes a walk-in shower and roll top bath.

A stable door leads from the kitchen to a secluded south facing patio at the rear of the cottage, a great spot for al fresco dining over a few glasses of wine.

Visiting Hay-on-Wye & Exploring Powys

A small market town which lies on the Wales / England border mid on the banks of the River Wye. It is situated just off the main Hereford Road approximately 21 miles from Hereford or 15 miles from Brecon. Over recent years it has become famous as being the largest second-hand and antiquarian book centre in the world. Hay-on-wye is excellent for spending time browsing in. the many varied book and print shops or relaxing in the fine cafes, restaurants and hostelries which the area has to offer.

The surrounding breath taking scenery of the Black Mountains and the Wye River offers such delights as pony trekking, cycling, canoeing, fishing, sailing, and hill walking.

Rates: From £450 to £1250 per week depending on season.
Weekends 2-night breaks Friday & Saturday £200 - £350.
Three-night breaks £350 - £525.
Maximum of 4 people.
Maximum of 2 pets. Dogs are £25 for a weekend and £35 during the week.
