Set against the hillside, just beyond the ancient city walls, the cottage offers stunning views of the medieval Cathedral, Bishop's Palace, and the surrounding countryside, with the majestic Carn Llidi in the background. St Davids' shops, restaurants, pubs, and arts and crafts galleries are just a short stroll away, while a few minutes' drive brings you to Caerfai and Whitesands beaches, as well as St Davids' nine-hole golf course.
Accommodation
Ground FloorThe entrance hall leads to a twin-bedded room offering a view of the Cathedral, complete with fitted wardrobes. Adjacent is a modern bathroom featuring a WC, washbasin, and a bath with an overhead Mira power shower. A spacious utility room includes a washing machine, tumble dryer, freezer, and a traditional Kitchen Maid clothes airer. There is ample space for storing coats, bikes, wetsuits and other items.
First Floor
The sitting room, with a bay window overlooking the Cathedral and Bishop's Palace, includes a wood-burning stove, Smart TV with Sky, CD player and a library of paperbacks. Wi-fi access is also provided. The master bedroom features a king-size bed, fitted wardrobes, and offers views of Carn Llidi and the surrounding countryside. Additionally, there is a cloakroom with a WC and washbasin. The fully fitted kitchen/dining room boasts hand-built oak units, a double electric oven, ceramic hob, microwave, Nespresso machine, dishwasher, and under-counter fridge. The dining area, with a pine table, leads into a sunroom furnished with a rattan sofa, chairs and a CD player.
Outside
Sliding glass doors from the sunroom open onto a patio area equipped with a teak table and chairs, seating six. Steps lead up through a colourful rockery to an upper terrace, which offers additional seating and is planted with espaliered apple trees, fuchsia, and other bushes. The garden features a small pond with a water feature, along with attractive garden lighting.
Visiting St Davids & Exploring Pembrokeshire
The coastal path offers spectacular views of cliffs, bays and moorland, with great opportunities for walkers to spot seabirds, seals and porpoises. Many glorious beaches including those at Whitesands Bay, a superb stretch of sandy beach, awarded European Blue Flag status and much loved by surfers and families. Other sandy coves are at Caerfai Bay, just a mile from St Davids, Newgale and Abereiddy, to name just a few. Picturesque harbours at Solva, Porth Clais, Porthgain and Abercastle are also great to explore.
