Summary

Ashley Bank offers outstanding self catering accommodation at the head of the Ravenstonedale Valley, in an acre of wooded grounds, with magnificent views of the Howgill Fells. We are based within Newbiggin-on-Lune but only 5 miles from Kirkby Stephen, making us a great base for exploring Cumbria. Our two properties sleep up to 16 people when combined, great for a family or group getaway in a gorgeous countryside setting.

Ashley Cottage

Our charming cottage is the perfect place to escape from the pressures of modern life and sleeps 12 people. The cottage includes:

Sitting and dining rooms:
1 large sitting room; seating 16 comfortably.
Sky TV with Netflix.
Electric effect log burning stove in the sitting room.
The dining room seats 16 comfortably.
Two high chairs are provided.

Kitchen:
6 burner gas cooker.
Microwave oven.
Dishwasher and fridge/ freezer.
Plenty of large pots and pans, crockery and cutlery to cater for large groups.

Bedrooms:
1 x double bedroom en suite bathroom.
2 x twin bedrooms with shared double shower room.
2 x family en suite bedrooms with 1 king and 1 single bed in each.
In addition there are two travel cots.
All bed linen and towels are provided.

Outside there is a ¾ acre of lawn and orchard, a patio and BBQ area, perfect for al fresco dining whilst the sun is shining. You can also indulge with the optional extra of a large spa hot tub which seats 7 – please enquire for details.

Beechtree Cottage

This delightful cottage sleeps 2/4 people, including a double bed settee in the lounge. The cottage includes:

1 double bedroom with en suite shower room.
Fitted kitchen including electric hob, oven, microwave oven and fridge/freezer.
Open plan kitchen/ sitting/dining room.
1 double bed settee in the lounge.
Sky TV and Netflix.
Gas central heating.
All bed linen and towels are provided.

Visiting Newbiggin-on-Lune & Exploring Cumbria

We are bounded by the Yorkshire Dales National Park, The Pennines and the mountains of the Lake District, possesses a wealth of interesting locations and offers a wide choice of activities. The area has every kind of outdoor pursuit from fell walking, Pony trekking, golf and fishing. Please note that due to the close proximity of sheep farms in the area we are unable to accommodate pets. Some places of interest in the locality of Ashley Bank include: The Howgill Fells, which provide excellent walking and the source of the River Lune. Brilliant attractions to visit include:
