Hall Farm Cottage offers award-winning self catering accommodation near Byers Green, based in a tranquil setting. Based near Spennymoor, we are in the ideal location for exploring Durham.
Our wonderful barn conversion boasts a private hot tub and boasts amazing views over the open countryside. The barn is tastefully furnished and equipped to a high standard.
The exterior of this 500-year barn has been beautifully restored over the years with the original stone repointed with lime mortar, and where necessary replaced by old stone from the site. On the ground floor is a lovely open plan kitchen and breakfast bar with an electric cooker, microwave, washer/dryer, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. A cosy sitting room comes with a toasty wood burner and a 32’’ Freeview TV.
On the first floor is a comfy king size bed and a TV. The bathroom comes with a large shower.
Old Hall Cottages provides its own restaurant in the village called Thomas Wright House. It serves food every day. Drinks can be enjoyed 5 minutes away at Byers Green Club.
The area is ideal for walking and fishing. Country walks are available straight from the front door. Fishing can be enjoyed on the River Wear. There is a golf course 10 minutes away.
Durham city is easily accessible and has plenty to enjoy. Old Hall Cottages are close to a range of attractions including:
