Our tranquil 300 year old country cottage offers a warm welcome. Relax and unwind in the sitting room with its log burning stove and comfy sofas. The fully equipped kitchen comes with a range of excellent appliances and its dining end has a table with French windows opening on to the garden, barbecue area and steps down to the riverbank. There is utility room with washer/dryer and a shower room on the ground floor, with a family bathroom on the first floor.
Upstairs are 2 bedrooms - a large double bedroom with ancient oak headboard and cast iron fireplace and an attic style bedroom with one standard and one small (2' 6") single beds. Both rooms are comfortably furnished with cotton bedlinen and feather and down bedding (synthetic available).
There is also an all weather tennis court in the walled garden to enjoy!
Stroll through Wycliffe, explore Barnard Castle with its quirky shops, weekly market and renowned Bowes Museum, visit Teesdale's High Force and mediaeval Raby Castle, fish the River Tees, walk the North Yorkshire Dales and North Pennines AONB. Durham, York and the North York Moors are within easy reach.
