Woodcroft Farm, lovingly farmed by the Peart family since 1947, is a traditional hill livestock farm, home to a thriving beef suckler herd and hill sheep. Life on the farm is always bustling, so no matter when you choose to visit, there will be plenty to see and experience.

Stay in one of our cosy cabins and enjoy uninterrupted views of rolling hills and green fields, accompanied only by the sounds of nature, and an occasional sheep. These luxurious log cabins feature blond-wood interiors for a modern Scandinavian feel, with a comfortable bed and an ensuite bathroom complete with a walk-in shower and heated towel rail. The kitchenette is fully equipped, or you can cook outdoors using the provided firepit. Alternatively, treat yourself to a homemade meal at one of the local pubs nearby.

This single-floor cottage features an open-plan living and dining area with high ceilings and wooden beams, creating a light and airy atmosphere. The family bathroom includes a spacious bath with an overhead shower. The bright double bedroom overlooks meadows, while the twin room, with two single beds and room for a cot or extra child’s bed, accommodates a family of five. Twinkling night lights add a starry effect for children, enhancing the rural charm with no streetlights. Outside, a private walled garden and patio offer dining space amidst open fields with ever-changing seasonal views.

This holiday home offers two spacious lounges with free WiFi and a TV and a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and oven. There are three bedrooms, an extra large double bedroom, a double and a twin bedroom, plus towels and bed linen for added convenience. Outside there is a large, private garden for you to enjoy.

Local shops and excellent dining pubs are within half a mile and a charming steam railway awaits just a mile away in the village of Stanhope. This holiday cottage is ideal for couples and families, whether you’re looking to relax, explore by foot or bike, or tour the area. Located in Weardale, one of the Northern Durham Dales within the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the cottage provides a perfect base to experience County Durham’s stunning landscapes in every season. Well-mapped walks of various lengths and challenges begin right from the cottage doorstep or just a short drive away.
