Foxglove Cottage offers wonderful self catering accommodation in North Chideock, based in glorious Dorset countryside. Our cottage near Bridport is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, great for the ultimate country retreat.

Accommodation

Our cottage occupies a magnificent 18th Century converted stone barn, whilst still offering modern accommodation to suit all your needs. The cottage sleeps up to 4 people and is perfect for smaller families and groups.

A cosy living/dining area oozes warmth and relaxation, offering lovely views into the courtyard. Unwind on the comfy seating and catch your favourite show on the TV with Freesat or DVD player. A spacious kitchen comes with a range of appliances for home-cooking, plus utensils, crockery, cutlery and other kitchenware. Savour some delicious food around the dining table which seats 6. The lower level has a family bathroom with a shower over the bath.

Upstairs there are two attractive bedrooms. The master bedroom boasts exposed beams and a comfortable double bed. The second bedroom comes with a twin. Both rooms are brimming with natural light from the Velux windows.

You are welcome to wander around and relax in the gardens of Hellbarn estate, including the small River Winniford on the edge of the estate. A recreation and information room is provided with family table games, DVDs or books.

Visiting North Chideock & Exploring Dorset

We are in the brilliant location for exploring the area. Only 2 miles away is the nearest beach, part of the iconic Jurassic coast. Right on our doorstep is a scenic walk across the fields to Seatown, via Chideock. The area also has an abundance of gorgeous walks to discover, plus lots of stunning coastal routes.

We are within reach of lots of wonderful towns/villages, including Dorchester, Weymouth and Portland Bill. Visit Bovington with its famous Tank Museum, the Swannery and gardens at Abbotsbury, children's entertainment at Crealy and Monkey World, plus majestic houses and beautiful gardens. Excellent attractions to visit include:

Brownsea Island.
Durdle Door.
Corfe Castle.
Old Harry Rocks.
