Torrisdale Castle Estate offers a superb range of self catering properties on Kintyre's east coast in Carradale, Campbeltown on Argyll, Bute & The Islands. The estate offers the perfect opportunity to experience the comforts of modern day living whilst relaxing within a stunning and stress free environment. A recent edition to the estate is our craft gin distillery where we make Kintyre Gin. Wander past and buy a bottle while you are here! Breaks are available for a minimum of 3 nights throughout the year.

Garden Cottage

Garden Cottage is a real gem. Situated on a wooded hillside overlooking the former walled garden, the property was fully refurbished in 2011 and comprises of a large double bedroom with king size bed, bathroom with shower and bath, a comfortable sitting room/dining room and a separate kitchen.

With timber lined walls, working shutters, a feature fireplace with log burning stove and insulated to the highest level, this cottage offers year round accommodation and is the ideal romantic hideaway. The new outdoor wood burning eco hot tub has been an instant hit. Load up the hot tub with wood, go for a walk to the beach, come back, strip off and jump in with a glass of champagne.

South Lodge

South Lodge is a lovely B-Listed cottage situated at the main gates of the estate and has views to die for towards the Kilbrannan Sound and the Isle of Arran from the large picture window in the living room! A small sandy beach is located nearby and a secluded garden lies adjacent to the cottage, next to the burn that leads to the sea.

The holiday cottage offers year round accommodation and is the ideal romantic retreat, whatever the weather. Refurbished during early 2012 the accommodation of South Lodge comprises a double bedroom, sitting room/dining room with adjacent kitchen and a large bathroom with electric shower over the bath. Laundry facilities are available at the castle and the cottage has a new multi fuel stove in the living room.

The Servants' Quarters

The Servants' Quarters is located on the ground floor of the Castle and as the name suggests used to form the various stores, kitchens and communal rooms for the workers of the house. The apartment has excellent views towards the sea and the Isle of Arran and whilst technically an 'apartment', extends to around 1,800 sqft of space - equivalent to a good sized family home!

The Servants' Quarters comprises a lovely kitchen/dining room, a large living room, master bedroom with en suite facilities including feature roll top bath, two further twin rooms and a shower room. There is also a secret room carefully hidden for all to try and find - open the room and see what you find! Finished to a high standard throughout with Cole and Son and Timorous Beasties wallpaper, biomass central heating and an exclusive 'Riverside Spa' - wood burning hot tub and wood burning barrel sauna - you certainly won't be left wanting after your holiday!

Shepherd's Bothy and Bakers Bothy

Shepherd's Bothy and Bakers Bothy comprise quirky but cosy, comfortable accommodation for two. Located on a hillside with stunning views over the Kilbrannan Sound, they are the perfect self-contained glamping style get-away. There is a comfortable king size bed on a mezzanine floor (beware the steep steps make them unsuitable for guests with mobility issues) and a cosy living space below, heated by an efficient log fire. There is a small kitchenette with a sink, hob, microwave, kettle, toaster and fridge and a walk-in shower room with toilet.

Finished to an exceptional standard to a bespoke design, our bothies are truly unique and are ideal for short stays to explore beautiful Kintyre.

Kintyre and the area around Torrisdale Castle Estate offers a wide and varied range of activities with something to suit all. From watersport activities to gentle beach walks, there are plenty of options for day trips around the Kintyre Peninsula and beyond.The isle of Arran is a short ferry ride away and very doable in a day, as is the beautiful island of Gigha on the west side of Kintyre
