Accommodation

Situated on the second floor, the property is accessed via a number of steps with resting places along the way. It boasts stunning views across the castle grounds toward St. Peter's Church, known for its cheerful clock chimes and the scenic hills beyond. The interior is full of character, featuring exposed beams and sloping ceilings. For added comfort, the apartment is equipped with comfort cooling (a form of air conditioning), ensuring a pleasant stay even during the warmer months.

The apartment comes fully equipped with gas central heating and electricity, with all linen and towels (excluding beach towels) provided. Beds are fitted with cozy duvets, and the property includes free Wi-Fi and onsite parking. A Friday changeover is preferred, though flexibility is possible.

The accommodation is thoughtfully arranged to provide convenience and comfort. It features a hallway leading to a well-equipped kitchen with an electric cooker, microwave, fridge, and dishwasher. The sitting room includes a TV, DVD player, CD/radio, and a coal-effect electric fire for cozy evenings in. A utility cupboard houses a washer/dryer.

The sleeping arrangements include two bedrooms, each with its own en suite bathroom. The first bedroom has a 5’ double bed and an en suite with a bath, power shower cubicle, WC, bidet, and washbasin. The second bedroom offers twin beds and an en suite with the same facilities.

Outside, the stunning gardens feature steps that lead down to the tranquil River Exe, offering a picturesque setting for relaxation. Guests can also enjoy complimentary tours of the castle, available to the public on two afternoons a week from Easter Sunday until the end of October. Additionally, seasonal fruit and vegetables from our kitchen garden are freely available for you to enjoy during your stay.

Visiting the Area

The apartment is just a short walk from the centre of Tiverton, a historic market town with a variety of shops and restaurants. The surrounding area boasts excellent village pubs serving delicious food, which we are happy to recommend. There is a leisure centre locally that offers EV Car charging, skateboarding, swimming, tennis and more. For those looking to explore further, the property offers easy motoring access to Exmoor, Dartmoor, Exeter and both North and South coast beaches.
