Grove Farm offers 4 high quality self-catering properties sleeping from 2 – 27 people (13 in The Farmhouse, 8 in Alfred’s Barn, 4 in The Milking Parlour, and 2 in The Orchard Wagon) which can be rented separately or together. Close to the Suffolk coastal towns of Southwold, Walberswick and Dunwich, our properties are perfect for an idyllic rural or seaside break.
The Farmhouse
Our beautifully restored farmhouse sleeps up to 13 guests in 6 bedrooms, ideal for a family or group holiday. The ground floor has underfloor heating and includes a large entrance hall, two large sitting rooms, a spacious kitchen with a dining area and a bathroom with a shower. Facilities include an open fire, a wood burning stove and Freeview TV.On the upper floor there are 6 bedrooms, one with an ensuite and a large balcony, a, second bathroom plus a 4th separate WC.
Outside there are extensive lawns to the south and west and a south-facing terrace with views over the herb garden and orchard. The converted stable is a games room with a pool table, table tennis and table football. A BBQ is provided.
Alfred’s Barn
A stunning, light-filled,16th Century timber framed thatched barn offering high-quality accommodation for 8 people in 4 bedrooms. On the ground floor, there is underfloor heating, an electric fire, an open-plan seating, large kitchen and dining area with extra tables for up to 27 people. There is also a TV room, WC and a games room.Upstairs, there are 4 bedrooms (2 ensuite) with beautiful views. The large family bathroom has a bath and shower cubicle. A BBQ is provided.
The Milking Parlour
Spacious and flooded with light, the open plan seating/dining/kitchen area has French doors opening onto the south-facing stone terrace and garden with extensive views over the lawn and orchard. With underfloor heating throughout downstairs, the spacious sitting room also offers a woodburning stove.Facilities include a washer/dryer, dishwasher and Freesat TV. The house sleeps 4 people in 2 bedrooms.
The Orchard Wagon
Totally secluded in the corner of the apple orchard, this delightful shepherd’s hut, with a small wood-burning stove, sleeps up to 2 people in a double bed.Outside, there is a cooking cabin, stone terrace for dining plus a BBQ. The washing shed has 3 rooms for showering, washing up and a compost loo.

Our holiday cottages are a short walk from the pretty village of Bramfield and just three miles outside the thriving market town of Halesworth. Grove Farm is an ideal base for exploring Suffolk and the world renowned Heritage Coast, encompassing Southwold, Walberswick, Dunwich, Thorpeness and Aldeburgh.Near to the coastal town of Southwold, with its lovely sandy beach, a lighthouse, and its charming multicoloured beach huts. It boasts a fantastic pier featuring traditional amusements like Punch and Judy and Victorian end of the pier shows. The town of Aldeburgh and the picture postcard village of Walberswick are also well worth a day trip.
