Our holiday cottages make a great base for couples, families and groups who are looking for a break away to Inverness-shire and our location outside of Inverarnie is ideal for those who want to visit the many attractions and places of interest in the surrounding area.

About Dalvourn Cottages

We have 6 self catering holiday homes available that can sleep from 2 to 6 people. The Haven has also been awarded Category 1 (Unassisted Wheelchair Access) by VisitScotland. Pets are welcome in Cathies Cottage, Rowan Ridge, The Haven and Woodpecker Pad. All four cottages are fenced and gated.

Our Loch Ness self catering cottages have been built and equipped to give you a peaceful, cosy and comfortable base for your holiday. In a nutshell, your "home from home". All of our cottages have large windows and carefully positioned bird tables for watching the large variety of wild birds that inhabit the surrounding birch woods. Each holiday cottage has a spacious lounge equipped with a TV, DVD player and CD player with iPod dock. There is a selection of books and board games. Cathie’s Cottage and Strathnairn also have the extra benefit of a sun lounge.

Local Area

Much thought and care has gone into the positioning of the self catering cottages to provide the best views of the surrounding mountains and landscape. Half a mile away in the rural village of Inverarnie is a well-stocked grocery shop, Inverarnie Stores.

This is an excellent location for your self catering holiday in the Scottish Highlands. There is so much to see with Loch Ness, Inverness, Culloden, Nairn and Aviemore, as well as historic sites like Cawdor Castle and Urquhart Castle and famous golf courses, all within easy reach. You are deep in the Scottish Highlands yet close enough to Inverness City shopping centre, restaurants and pubs, Eden Court theatre, cinemas and sports facilities to make your holiday one to remember. Inverness – 6 miles; Loch Ness – 11 miles; Culloden Battlefield – 8 miles; Nairn beach – 20 miles; Aviemore Ski centre – 26 miles.
