Summary

Forth, Pittenweem is a bright first-floor apartment sitting right on the water’s edge of this historic East Neuk fishing village. The spacious seafront retreat gazes directly across the Firth of Forth and places you within easy stroll of the harbour, galleries and cafés that make Pittenweem so enchanting. Managed by Fife Holiday Lettings, it provides a comfortable self-catering base for families or friends keen to explore the coast, sample freshly landed seafood or tee off on one of Fife’s celebrated golf courses.

Accommodation

The apartment opens into a generous hall from which all rooms radiate. The large sitting-dining room is framed by picture windows that fill the space with light and uninterrupted views of the sea; on stormy days you can watch the waves roll in beside a roaring electric stove and smart television. A contemporary kitchen lies just off the living area and is fully fitted with electric oven, induction hob, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and a full-height fridge-freezer, ensuring self-catering is effortless.

Three sizeable double bedrooms sleep six guests in comfort. The principal bedroom enjoys an en-suite shower room, while the remaining two doubles share a modern family bathroom with bath, overhead shower, basin and WC. All bedrooms are dressed in crisp white linen, ample storage and subtle coastal décor.

Throughout the apartment gas central heating and double glazing keep things cosy, and complimentary Wi-Fi allows you to plan days out or stream a film in the evening. Free on-street parking is available immediately outside.

Visiting the Area

Pittenweem sits on the Fife Coastal Path, so you can wander west to St Monans or east to Anstruther with its famous fish and chips and boat trips to the Isle of May. In August the village bursts into life for the renowned Pittenweem Arts Festival when studios, wynds and halls turn into galleries. Ten miles north lies the university town of St Andrews, beloved for its medieval streets, world-class golf and sweeping West Sands beach. Whisky aficionados can tour Kingsbarns Distillery, while walkers may prefer the cliff-top trails around Crail or the bird-rich sands of Tentsmuir Forest. Children will love exploring the tidal pools and rock formations scattered along the East Neuk’s shoreline.
