Bryony Cottage offers fabulous self catering accommodation in Ambleside. We are based in a slightly elevated position and perfect for a romantic getaway in Cumbria.

Accommodation

Our Grade II Listed 17th Century cottage is based among the oldest properties in Ambleside and sleeps up to 2 people. The cottage offers lots of original character and enjoys a traditional cottage style.

On the ground floor, we have a lounge/diner with a sitting/eating area with a hand-crafted Lakeland stone fireplace housing a natural coal effect gas fire. The is a dining table, smart TV and DVD player. The fully-equipped shaker-style kitchen comes with a range of appliances: Bosch electric oven, fridge/freezer and microwave.

A larger cellar houses a full-size table tennis table and a small adjoining building houses a washing machine and WC (reached via the rear stable door). Steps lead to an elevated patio area for al fresco dining.

On the first floor, we have a large bedroom with a super king that can be made as two singles. The rear bedroom has a single bed and French-style painted furniture. The fully tiled bathroom has a shower over the bath.

Visting Ambleside & Exploring Cumbria

You can discover all that Ambleside has to offer whilst staying with us. Lots of pubs and bars serve local brews and good food. There is a butchers, greengrocers, art shops and grocers. The town is home to gourmet restaurants with European and Asian cuisine to enjoy. Attractions to visit include:

Loughrigg Fell.
Ambleside Roman Fort.
Go Ape Grizedale.
Stock Ghyll Force.
