VISITING SKEABOST BRIDGE AND EXPLORING THE ISLE OF SKYE

Skye is a large island and a stunning magical place with dramatic vistas of wild landscapes. There are plenty of places to explore by driving, walking or climbing and you can have many encounters with eagles and other wildlife. No wonder it is a magnet for painters, photographers and film crews! It is also full of history with evidence of iron age, pictish and viking settlemets as well as many ruined crofting townships left from the 19thC clearances.

A few minutes walk from the cottage takes you to the carved pictish stone at Tote and St Columba’s Isle where the ruins of the medieval Cathedral of The Isles, medieval knight grave slabs and a mortuary chapel are found.

The Trotternish Ridge with The Storr, The Quiraing, the Fairy Glen, Kilt Rock, the Coral Beaches at Claigan, Neist Point, Glen Brittle, the Fairy Pools and the Cuillins are just some of the famous landmarks of Skye.

Crepigill Cottage is well located for exploring all of Skye.
