The Orchards is a big, warm and welcoming cottage near Ilam, set in a glorious countryside position with stunning views from every window.

We are close to Dovedale, Alton Towers and Ashbourne, making us the ideal location for discovering all that the Peak District has to offer.

Accommodation

The Orchards is based on a sheep farm in the Manifold Valley, surrounded by flower-rich meadows and private bluebell woods. In the springtime, you can watch the lambs playing in the fields. This spacious property is great for families and friends to get together, yet secluded and cosy enough for couples wanting a romantic hideaway with a cosy log fire (10% discount for two).

Bathroom.
Three bedrooms to sleep 6 people.
(one double, one twin and one full-size bunk beds).
Please note – there are 7 steps up to the front door. Once inside, all rooms are on one level.

Excellent facilities include a welcome pack of local food, heating, electricity, linen and towels, initial supply of fuel for the fire, cot and highchair, satellite TV, DVD player, fridge freezer, washing machine, microwave, garden furniture and a garage for car or bikes. Lawns surround the property.

Locally and Nearby

The walking in this area is unsurpassed. There is something for everyone, from a gentle stroll to strenuous climbs. There are 2 great cycle trails with bike hire. Or visit
Chatsworth, Haddon Hall, Bakewell, Buxton Opera House, Uttoxeter Racecourse, The Potteries, Trentham Gardens & Monkey Forest, National Memorial Arboretum, Peak Wildlife Park, Crich Tramway Museum, Heights of Abraham and so much more.
