Larch Cottage offers self catering accommodation in Windermere, in the heart of The Lake District. Our Cumbrian cottage is ideal for an idyllic break in a lovely setting.

Accommodation

Our cottage is in a peaceful cul-de-sac only a 5 minute walk from the centre of Windermere. The cottage is tastefully furnished and sleeps up to 6 people, great for a family or group holiday.

This traditional Lakeland stone and slate cottage offers comfortable and relaxing accommodation to suit all your needs. A large living/dining area opens onto an enclosed patio that catches the evening sun; a lovely spot for a glass of wine whilst listening to the sound of the bubbling Mill Beck. A well-equipped and modern kitchen comes with an electric hob and high-level oven, full-height fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, breakfast bar and stools.

Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms: 2 large doubles and a 3rd bedroom with full-size bunk beds. The bathroom is fully tiled and includes an electric shower over the bath.

A gravelled area to the front receives the best of the morning sunlight. This links with 2 of the other properties but is fenced with a gate from the road providing safety for young children or dogs.

We also have a cot, highchair, a selection of toys, games and books and plenty of maps and leaflets for guest’s use.

Visiting Windermere & Exploring Cumbria

We are only a 100m stroll from Victoria Park which has an enclosed play area, skateboard park and open grass which is perfect for your four-legged friend. In Windermere, there are banks, a post office, petrol garage, chemists and a Booths supermarket. You can also visit Bowness, Ambleside, Grasmere, Coniston and Kendal and further afield to Keswick and Lancaster. Only a gentle 20-minute walk is the lakefront at Bowness.
