West Barr Holiday Park sits 2 miles north of Port William in its quiet spot by the sea in Newton Stewart. Our self catering holiday cottages are just yards from the sea and provide a perfect holiday location in Dumfries & Galloway.

West Barr Cottage

West Barr Cottage is a 3 star, Visit Scotland self catering accommodation set in an idyllic location. The accommodation comprises of the sitting room, fitted kitchen, shower room, one double and one twin bedroom and new conservatory. It is fully equipped with electric cooker/gas hob, automatic washing machine, fridge, microwave and TV. The cottage has an open fire and gas central heating, included in the rent. One bag of coal is also included in the rent. There is spacious private parking to the rear/side of the cottage.

Pets are welcome by prior agreement and from the enclosed garden at the front of the cottage, you can enjoy lovely views across the bay to the Mull of Galloway and also the Isle of Man.

A picnic bench is provided where many guests enjoy their breakfast in the early morning sunshine.

West Barr Farmhouse

West Barr Farmhouse is beautiful 4 star, family-friendly property that has recently been refurbished and enjoys magnificent views across Luce Bay to the Mull of Galloway and also the Isle of Man.

The accommodation offers four bedrooms: 1 super-king-size zip-and-link (that can be made into a twin on request), 1 twin zip-and-link (that can be made into a super king-size on request). On the ground floor 1 double and 1 twin zip-and-link (that can be made into a super king-size on request). The bathroom has a shower over bath and WC and there is a wet room with shower and WC on the ground floor. The comfortable lounge has a TV and DVD and the fully equipped kitchen/diner has electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and microwave. There is also a utility room with washing machine.

Outside is a large enclosed garden with seating area and ample off road parking. Bed linen, towels, electric, central heating and Wi-Fi are all included.

Visiting Newton Stewart and Exploring Dumfries & Galloway

The area is a favourite for hill walkers and mountain bikers, with internationally recognised biking trails amidst some of the most dramatic scenery in the south of Scotland. Golf is available locally at the nine-hole course at Monreith, which is both scenic and challenging. Fishermen can enjoy sea angling from both the harbour and all along the shores, with loch and river fishing available close by too.
