Maple Cottage offers self catering accommodation in North Chideock, set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Based near Bridport in scenic Dorset countryside.
Maple Cottage is a stunning property, beautifully converted from an 18th-century stable into a self-catering holiday home. Expertly blending modern comforts with the building’s traditional character, the cottage accommodates up to four guests across two bedrooms, making it ideal for couples or small families seeking a peaceful countryside escape. The generously-sized entrance hall provides ample space for coats and shoes, setting the tone for a welcoming and practical stay.
The ground floor features a spacious open-plan living room, kitchen and dining area, a comfortable and social space where guests can cook, dine and relax together. Entertainment is well-catered for with a TV, DVD player, Freesat and rural-strength WiFi, while the dining table doubles as a great spot for board games. The fully equipped kitchen is stocked with all the utensils, crockery, cutlery and appliances needed to prepare delicious meals and its open-plan layout ensures the chef remains part of the action while cooking.
Upstairs, the two stylishly decorated bedrooms provide restful havens with ample storage for personal belongings. The master bedroom features a double bed and offers views over the garden, while the second bedroom has two comfortable single beds, perfect for family or friends. The upper level also includes a well-appointed family bathroom, equipped with all the essentials to accommodate the needs of all guests. With its thoughtful design and inviting atmosphere, Maple Cottage is the perfect rural retreat.
You are welcome to wander around and relax in the gardens of Chideock Grange, including the small River Winniford on the edge of the estate. A recreation and information room is provided with pool, table tennis and other family table games, DVDs and books.
