The Old House in Bootle offers delightful self catering accommodation. Our Cumbrian house dates back over 250 years and now offers modern accommodation in The Lake District national Park.
Accommodation
Our cosy property is tastefully furnished and sleeps up to 8 people, great for a family or group holiday.Downstairs there is a lovely living room with a toasty log burner, Freesast TV and DVD player. Enjoy some home-cooking in the fully equipped kitchen that comes with a range of appliances including a dishwasher, plus a kitchen table. You can also savour some delicious meals in the dining room or the kitchen diner which has garden views.
On the first floor the two large main bedrooms can be set up as a super king-size bed or twin single beds. The third bedroom contains a bunk bed and there is a family bathroom with a shower over the bath. On the top floor has two attic rooms each containing a single bed. One has a screen and bean bags for gaming and the other has a table football table.
Outside there is a covered patio area with a table and chairs for al fresco dining when the sun is shining. There is also a secure outbuilding available for storing bikes or other valuable pieces of kit.
Visiting Bootle & Exploring Cumbria
We are within walking distance of a lovely village shop and a cafe. You can also visit Ravenglass, just a few miles away. The Lake District has lots of stunning scenery to enjoy, home to mountains, lakes and gorgeous countryside. You can also hike Scafell Pike, England’s highest Peak. Excellent attractions to visit include:Muncaster Castle.

Castlerigg Stone Circle.
The World of Beatrix Potter Attraction.
