The Mount is located at Portinscale, Cumbria and is a luxury holiday home for 10 people. It is available on a B&B or self catering basis and is an ideal base for those who want to visit Keswick and explore the beautiful Lake District National Park.

We are the perfect place for a large family or a group of friends for a holiday let. The Mount has plenty of luxurious touches but still feels warm, inviting and comfortable. It has beautiful rooms that have been tastefully decorated throughout and is well equipped with everything you need for an enjoyable breakaway, including underfloor heating in the superior bedrooms.

There are 5 en suite bedrooms available, all perfect for a restful night’s sleep after a day sightseeing. All the rooms are ready for your arrival.

Outside of the holiday home is a terrace garden, providing a space to relax in at any time of day, whether it’s with your morning brew or something stronger after spending the day exploring the local area. Parking is available at the rear of the property and there is a secure bike lock up.

A shepherd’s hut is also available on B&B basis, please enquire for details.

Portinscale is a delightful place for a Lake District holiday. The village is very close to Derwent Water (great for gentle lakeside walks and boating) and a short walk to Keswick, the centre of the beautiful Northern part of the Lake District. So it is easy to reach all the shops, cafes and theatre of Keswick, easy to get onto some good Lake District walks, while enjoying the peace and charm of a Lakeland village. There are some great cafes and pub minutes away. Attractions to visit include:

Derwent Pencil Museum.
Castlerigg Stone Circle.
Derwentwater.
Catbells.
Surprise View.
