Greenbank Country House offers self catering accommodation in the Borrowdale Valley, set in an idyllic countryside position. Surrounded by meandering rivers and some of the most breathtaking fells in The Lake District, we are ideal for a holiday in Cumbria. Keswick is only 3 ½ miles away and the area is great for fell walking, climbing and cycling.
The house is accessed through the main front entrance, opening into a spacious hallway with an elegant grand staircase. At the front of the house are two lounges, both featuring fireplaces with open fires, comfortable seating, and TV/DVD setups. Large windows in both lounges provide stunning views of the garden, valley, and fells.
The well-equipped kitchen includes a triple-oven Aga, a separate gas hob and oven, a dishwasher, a large toaster and a microwave. Adjacent to the kitchen is a utility area housing two large fridges, a chest freezer and two washing machines. The airy dining room, located next to the kitchen, offers ample seating for 19 guests and large windows that overlook the side garden. On the ground floor, there is a double bedroom and a twin bedroom, both with TVs, en-suite facilities and garden views.
Upstairs, the first floor features six double bedrooms, a twin bedroom and a single bedroom, all with en-suite bathrooms. Some of the bedrooms also include TVs. The en-suites comprise a WC and either a full stand-up shower (three rooms) or an over-bath shower (six rooms).
Outside, the property offers a spacious hard-surfaced parking and turning area, along with a large side garden featuring a seating area with tables and chairs, mature trees and shrubs, and breathtaking views of the Borrowdale Valley and surrounding fells. The house is accessed via a driveway off Borrowdale Road and occupies a beautiful elevated position.
