Machair Cottage offer self catering accommodation in Scarista on the Isle Of Harris. Our property on the Western Isles is in a stunning and remote location, perfect for a tranquil break away. We have direct access to the beach and offer amazing views.

Our traditional croft style house boasts stunning views and is the perfect place to escape to from the hustle and bustle of modern life. This property sleeps up to 6 people and is great for an unforgettable break away.

The living area is perfect for relaxing in and comes with satellite TV and a comfy sofa. The fully equipped galley kitchen will suit all your needs and comes with a range of appliances. The dining room comes with a multi fuel stove.

Bedrooms consist of 2 doubles and 1 twin room. All the rooms share a shower room which has a shower over the bath.

Outside there is a picnic table. This is an ideal place to sit whilst savouring the breathtaking views over the bay.

The Isle Of Harris includes miles of unspoilt beaches, lots of wildlife and a wide variety of plant life. In the island there are many historical and archaeological sites. Stornoway is one hour's drive away where the local airport and the ferry terminal to Ullapool can be accessed. The town has car hire firms, shops and supermarkets. Lots of attractions are on the Isle of Harris, including:

Clisham.
Luskentyre.
Huisinis Beach.
Scarista Beach.
St Clement's Church.
