Plum Braes Barn Holiday Cottages offer self catering accommodation in the small village of Ednam. Our cottages near the market town of Kelso in the Scottish Borders are perfect for a relaxing break away. All the cottages are set on an organic farm and comes with their own private gardens.

Tweed, Eden and Orchard Hideaway enjoy panoramic views over the Tweed Valley towards the Cheviot Hills on the horizon. The large windows all the way along the front of the lodge are perfect to watch the sun rising from the bedrooms and the sitting room. The wood fired hot tub also has the same wonderful views.

The Hideaways are tiled with beautiful sandstone and travertine through out and have roller blinds and have a contemporary design. Relax in front of the wood burner and enjoy the view - a perfect hideaway in Spring, Summer, Autumn or Winter.

The views are spectacular. Tweed, Eden and Orchard Hideaways have an open plan kitchen/sitting room/dining area with a spacious king size bedroom on the west side and a compact twin room to the East and also a beautifully tiled shower room. This cottage was converted from a barn and sleeps up to four people. There is one twin bedroom and one double bedroom that both have the beds ready for you on arrival. The sitting room has a log burner, comfortable seating, Wi-Fi and a large screen Sky TV. The kitchen is fully equipped offering everything you need including an electric cooker, fridge, microwave, slow cooker and toaster.

This cottage is all on one level and offers two bedrooms and two bathrooms. One double room comes with a sleigh bed and en suite shower room and a twin bedroom has use of a large wet room. The sitting room/kitchen has a wood burner, comfortable seating, a dining table and four chairs. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a fridge, freezer, microwave, electric cooker and a slow cooker.

This cottage is perfect for couples and has a king size sleigh bed and a balcony from the bedroom. The bathroom is located on the ground floor and has a bath, overhead shower, WC, wash basin and heated towel rail. The sitting room has a large Sky TV, Wi-Fi and comfortable sofa. The galley kitchen has an electric cooker, microwave, fridge, toaster and a slow cooker.

If you enjoy staying active during your visit, the farm offers a tennis court and picturesque walks along the River Eden, where you can observe our organic sheep grazing and possibly spot otters, kingfishers, swans, and deer in the woodland. The farm also produces organic oats and flowers available for purchase, along with fresh eggs, table mats, coasters, trays, and plants. Local businesses deliver takeaway meals, and both Sainsbury and Tesco offer delivery services. The cottages provide a peaceful and tranquil retreat with stunning views over the Eden and Tweed valleys towards the Cheviot Hills.

There are a number of activities in the local area including bird watching, cycling, fishing, horse riding, golfing and walking. Guests can enjoy all of these activities near to the cottages. Numerous attractions in the area include the Royal Botanic Garden in Edinburgh. This is a scientific centre for the study of plants as well as a popular tourist attraction. Guests can also visit the Scottish Seabird Centre where you can see the wildlife on the Firth of Forth islands, enjoy food in the cafe and play in the kids corners.
