Boulder House is a modern self-catering seaside cottage, boasting breathtaking views over Gruinard Bay, the Sutherland Mountains and the Summer Isles. Our charming fenced property in Laide has private parking and is perfectly located for exploring the beautiful west coast beaches and enjoying the spectacular surrounding landscape. Boulder House is the perfect base for all sorts of outdoor activities like walking, cycling, photography, kayaking or fishing.

Boulder House sleeps up to 4 people and is perfect for an unforgettable coastal holiday. The property is beautifully furnished with a modern black and white theme, with smooth charcoal coloured floor tiles covering the ground floor.

A gorgeous open plan living/dining/kitchen area has french windows which take advantage of the spectacular sea view. The large decking area at the front of the property comes with garden furniture and is a great spot for a glass of wine whilst savouring the amazing view. A wooden path is leading to a second decking area, offering an even closer sea view.

The contemporary kitchen is fully equipped to the highest standards, including a dishwasher, ceramic hob, electric oven, fridge and freezer. The utility room comes with a washing machine. Heating is provided by oil-fired central heating system.

Unwind in the cosy living room area, which has a wood burning stove for the chillier months. In addition to this spacious living area on the ground floor there is also a bathroom with wet room and toilet.

On the first floor are two attractive double bedrooms with Velux windows and blackout blinds and dormer windows facing the sea. After a restful nights sleep, you can wake up to the glorious sun rise over the hills on the other side of Gruinard Bay. A sofabed on the landing sleeps two people and there is also a second toilet on this floor. Bed linen and towels are included.

The delightful village of Laide comes with a post office, general store and petrol station and is only 8 miles from the famous National Trust for Scotland gardens in Inverewe. You can relax on the most beautiful beaches of Mellon Udrigle and Gruinard nearby, or you can fish either in the sea or in the nearby lakes (permits are available at the post office). There is an abundance of rugged walks to enjoy and serious mountaineering is only a short drive away. You`ll also be able to see a range of fantastic wildlife, including otters, seals, dolphins, great northern divers, curlews, oyster catchers and eagles. Further attractions to visit include:
