Accommodation

Our sympathetically restored Grade II Listed 19th Century barn is set in a stunning rural setting, offering a totally off-grid haven and outstanding countryside views. The beautifully furnished barn is well-equipped to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

You can relax and unwind in the cosy sitting room which has magnificent oak beams, plenty of sofas, a toasty wood burner, books on stargazing, Sky TV with Netflix and a DVD player. This is a lovely spot for relaxing with a coffee whilst savouring the mountain views. Doors lead to the back garden. A well-equipped kitchen/dining room is great for home-cooking and includes a tall fridge, gas range-style cooker and hob, microwave, dishwasher, stone-tiled floor and large dining table that seats 14.

A utility and drying room comes with a washing machine freezer, additional storage, drying room for coats and boots. A separate toilet and hand basin is also available.

Upstairs there are 4 attractive bedrooms. Bedroom 1 has an oak-framed double bed and single bed, a mezzanine with double bed and an en suite shower room. Bedroom 2 has an oak-framed double bed and single bed, a mezzanine floor with a single bed and an en suite shower room. Bedroom 3 has a twin en suite and bedroom 4 has a double en suite. All the rooms boast amazing views over the reservoir and mountains.

Outside there is a fabulous patio area with a table, benches and BBQ for al fresco dining whilst admiring the views. There is also a large garden with a trampoline at the back of the barn.

Visiting Talybont-on-Usk & Exploring Powys

This part of the country has so much amazing natural beauty to see, with lots of fantastic cycle and hill walks right on our doorstep. Only 4 miles away is Talybont-on-Usk, home to a village shop/cafe, the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal and four pubs (one of them Camra award-winning). Within a 30 minute drive away is Brecon, Crickhowell, Abergavenny and Hay-on-Wy. You can climb the peaks of the Brecon Beacons or stroll along the Monmouthshire Canal.
