Beudy Bryn Celyn offers self catering accommodation in Bryn Mawr, just 1.5 miles from the village of Llanymynech. We are situated in a great location on a hillside in Powys, surrounded by a garden and open countryside, perfect for a tranquil getaway.

Our cottage boasts stunning views over Shropshire Plain and towards the Welsh Hills, set in a rural location but only 1.5 miles from the nearest A road. This recently converted cow byre is tastefully furnished and comes with everything you need for a relaxing holiday.

Our lovely cottage comes with an open plan living/dining/kitchen area. The cosy living area comes with comfy seating, a TV and a unique semi-circular stained-glass window. You can cook up a storm in the well-equipped kitchen which includes a range of appliances: washing machine, full cooker, microwave cooker and refrigerator. There are outdoor drying facilities and also a tumble dryer in the storeroom for your exclusive use. The storeroom also houses a freezer for your use.

Upstairs there is a beautiful gallery bedroom with a comfortable king-size bed which can be made into a twin. A bathroom is downstairs.

Outside there is a patio area with garden furniture and a built-in BBQ for al fresco dining whilst enjoying the views. There is also a is a lockable, heated storeroom where a fishing tackle, cycles etc can be kept.

Visiting Bryn Mawr & Exploring Powys


We are in an ideal position for exploring the area. At the bottom of the lane, the River Vyrnwy, Montgomery Canal and Offa's Dyke Path meet. You can visit the quaint village of Llanymynech which has a PO/Off licence/general store, pub, restaurants, garage and hairdressers. The area has four National Trust properties within a 30-minute drive, with Powis Castle only 15 minutes away. You can also enjoy lots of scenic walks or enjoy a touch of retail therapy at the Roman city of Chester which is only 45 minutes away. Attractions to visit include:

Cambrian Heritage Railways Llynclys South Station.
Llanymynech Rocks Nature Reserve.
Breidden Hill.
Pen y Fan.
National Showcaves Centre for Wales.
