A gentle riverside stroll of just over two miles brings you into Blairgowrie where independent cafés, traditional pubs and local shops line the streets. Golfers can test their skills on the championship courses at Rosemount while anglers head for the River Ericht in search of salmon and trout. Monk Myre Loch is minutes from The Roost and as a protected SSSI, offers rewarding bird-watching with ospreys, wildfowl and raptors regularly spotted. For longer adventures the Cateran Trail, a 64-mile circular walk through Perthshire and Angus, can be joined nearby and the ski slopes of Glenshee are within an hour’s drive.
