Clayton Cottage offers modern self catering accommodation in the charming village of Howtel. Our beautifully restored Edwardian cottage near Mindrum is on the edge of the Cheviot Hills and boasts stunning views. Further afield you can visit a variety of attractions in Northumberland.
Our cosy holiday cottage offers everything you need for a relaxing getaway, perfect for families, couples or friends. The cottage sleeps up to 5 people and offers a home-from-home feel.
Rustle up a storm in the fully equipped kitchen that comes with a range of appliances: hob, oven, grill, microwave, toaster, fridge/freezer and washer/dryer. Unwind in the lounge after a day exploring the area. Facilities include comfy settees, a smart TV, Wi-Fi, a phone and a real fire. Savour some delicious meals around the dining table that seat 5 plus 2 on easy chairs.
Three bedrooms are available: 1 double with wonderful views, 1 twin and 1 small single room. On the ground floor is a bathroom with a WC, bath and shower over. All bed linen is included.
Outside there is a secure and enclosed rear garden with a table and chairs and two patios, ideal for a glass of wine in the afternoon sun. A BBQ is provided for al fresco dining.
This area provides an excellent base for a holiday. The foothills with their quiet backroads and bridleways are ideal for walking, cycling and riding. Within only a short car journey you can be on the magnificent Heritage Coastline of North Northumberland with its spectacular scenery. Excellent attractions to visit include:
