Dating back to 1780, this detached, Grade II listed self-catering holiday property with a 30ft secluded, walled garden retains many original features such as exposed chalk walls, beamed ceilings, cast-iron fireplaces, Aga (decorative only), quarry-tiled floors and a Victorian roll-top bath. Contemporary features include a private Hot Tub, a log burner, fully-equipped solid oak kitchen with dual fuel range cooker and American fridge/freezer.

Ground floor

Denmark House features a warm and comfortable main living area with a piano, 2 large sofas, log burning stove and Sky TV including Sky Sports.

Adjoined to the fully equipped kitchen, the dining room seats eight people and provides a great space in front of the decorative Aga to enjoy a family meal.

There is also a snug on the ground floor with freeview TV.

First floor

All bedrooms and bathrooms in Denmark House are upstairs.

4 bedrooms comprising of a double bedroom with en-suite shower room and toilet, a king four poster bed, and 2 twin bedrooms. Main bathroom with roll-top bath, shower cubicle, basin and toilet.

Woodburning stove in the living room (initial fuel inc). Gas CH, elec, bed linen and towels inc. T/cot and h/chair on request. Sky TV with Sky Sports. Dual fuel range. M/wave. Washer/dryer. D/washer. F/freezer.

Large, enclosed, lawned garden with sitting-out area, furniture, brick built BBQ and hot tub (hot tub towels provided). Public car park in the communal square. Welcome pack on arrival.

Up to 2 dogs are welcome but we ask that they remain on the ground floor at all times, and are not left in the property unattended. Charges are £50 per dog.

Visiting Hunmanby & Exploring North Yorkshire

Hunmanby offers a 9-hole golf course, fishing lakes, shops, traditional inns and tea rooms. A short drive leads to the heart of the seaside town of Filey with its 5-mile stretch of award-winning sandy beach. Hunmanby Gap, one of the east coast's best-kept secrets, has rock pooling and fossil hunting. Scarborough, Bridlington and Flamborough are all easily accessible.

Coastal and countryside walks surround the area, from energetic walks to leisurely strolls; cycle trails and tracks and the Cleveland Way and Wolds Way offer unrivalled distance walks. Steeped in history, the area is surrounded by historic homes, halls and castles including Burton Agnes Hall, Sewerby Hall and Gardens and Castle Howard.

Whitby is 18 miles, renowned for its connections with Bram Stoker's Dracula and Captain James Cook. Board a steam train and relax as it meanders through the glorious Esk Valley. Visit walled York city, 40 miles, famous for its minster, museums, art galleries and shopping. Shop 50 yards, pub and restaurant 25 yards.

Rates: £800 - £1800 per week depending on season.
