Applegarth Holiday Cottage offers charming self catering accommodation near Grosmont in North Yorkshire. We are located in a peaceful spot near Whitby and only a two minute walk away from the North York Moors Railway station.
Our cosy cottage sleeps up to 4 people and is perfect for families or a group looking for somewhere special to stay.
The cottage dates from the 1860s and comes with a lovely sitting room with FreeSat TV and a wood burning stove. A well-equipped kitchen has a Neff oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and a wood burning stove. A walk-in pantry comes with an additional fridge/freezer, iron and ironing board.
Bedrooms consist of a double and a twin room. One additional fold out bed is available for children and young people. The bathroom comes with an electric shower over the bath and a toilet. Additional inside cloakroom/WC
Outside there is a secluded lawned garden with seating and patio. A great place for a morning coffee whilst the sun is shining.
We are only a two minute walk from the centre of the village, the station and the Co-Op. In the other direction is a delightful footpath which leads through a tunnel to the North Yorkshire Moors Railway engine sheds. In nearby Whitby, you can enjoy a tour of the Captain Cook Memorial Museum or visit one of Whitby’s many beaches. Sandsend is one of the most popular and perfect for all the family.
