Betula Chalet is the perfect base for exploring Northeast Scotland, including the Cairngorms National Park, Speyside, the Highlands and the Moray Coast. Situated on five acres of private land, this self catering chalet comfortably accommodates four guests and welcomes both children and pets.
The spacious living and dining area features a stunning panoramic window, offering a front-row seat to the local wildlife - deer, pheasants, a variety of birds and even the occasional fox. The fully equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher, fridge/freezer, electric hob/oven, kettle, toaster, microwave and all essential cookware. A modern bathroom with a bathtub and shower provides a perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring.
The chalet has two sleeping areas: a ground-floor bedroom with two single beds and an upstairs mezzanine with two additional single beds. These can be converted into a super-king using a mattress bridge and strap, complete with a super-king protector and sheet, while the two single duvets remain. The heating system is electric and can be adjusted by guests, ensuring a comfortable stay year-round. Underfloor heating is installed in the kitchen and bathroom for added warmth.
Through the patio doors, a large decking area offers a picnic table for alfresco dining, along with a bench and sun loungers for relaxation. At the back of the chalet, a private fire-pit area with seating provides a perfect spot to watch the sunset or stargaze. The fire-pit also functions as a BBQ for outdoor cooking.
There is no TV or washing machine on-site, but free WiFi allows for streaming and self-service laundry facilities are available in Nairn.
Betula Chalet was awarded the Green Tourism Award in Silver in 2025 and received a 3-star rating for self-catering by the Visit Scotland Quality Assurance Scheme in June 2023, a scheme set to retire in April 2025. A full Short-Term Let Licence was granted by the Highland Council on August 3, 2023 (HI-60037-F).
The chalet is in a secluded and private setting, not overlooked by any neighbours and there is no public transport beyond Nairn. Several EV charging stations are located nearby, including in Nairn Central Car Park and Logie Steading. The nearest shops, cafés and restaurants are in Nairn, approximately nine miles away.
