Cefn-Du Holiday Cottages

Summary

Cefn-Du is a working farm that offers 3 holiday cottages that provide self catering accommodation. The farm is a short distance from the village of Crymych which is in the county of Pembrokeshire. The holiday cottages can accommodate dogs and horses as there are stables and a ménage.

Red Kite Cottage

Red Kite Cottage is a barn conversion that still has many original features. This self catering cottage sleeps 2 plus a baby in a double bedroom with king size bed. There is an open plan lounge/dining room with Freeview TV & DVD player. The kitchen is well equipped with an electric cooker, fridge/freezing compartment, microwave and washing machine with combined tumble dryer. The cottage has lovely views with 2 natural ponds.

Shetland Cottage

This cosy cottage offers accommodation for 2 people plus a baby in a double room with a feature fireplace. There is an open plan living/dining room with French doors that lead into the garden. The living area is open plan and there is a well equipped kitchen. The land around the cottage is used for grazing, and is currently home to three Shetland pony foals and their mothers.

Swallows Barn

This self catering barn was converted from a large Welsh stone barn that was used for storage. The cottage now sleeps 6-8 people in 3 bedrooms. The lounge has a wood burning stove and a flat screen TV. There is a well equipped kitchen, conservatory and a patio area.

Dog Friendly

We are very dog friendly, dogs stay free and we also offer a day kennel service for a small donation to our local air ambulance service.

Local Area

The farm is a short drive to the Preseli Hills. It is widely believed that the stone used to build Stonehenge came from here. There are several public footpaths close to or running through the farm offering good views of the surrounding countryside. The Pembrokeshire National Park with its famous scenic coastal walks is a short drive and the Welsh cycle path crosses close by. The lovely coastal town of Cardigan is well worth visiting with its unspoilt shops and wonderful beach (Poppit Sands) about 15/20 minutes drive from the farm. For shoppers Carmarthen with its 24hr Tesco and the seaside town of Tenby cater for all shopping and seaside entertainment needs.
