Dunan Estate offers self catering accommodation on the banks of the River Gaur on Ronnach Moor. Based near Pitlochry on one of Scotland’s most secluded estates, we are perfect for an idyllic break in Perthshire.
Accommodation
This recently refurbished cottage comes with a cosy living area to unwind in, including a toasty wood-burning stove, a TV and comfy seating. Rustle up a storm in the fully-equipped kitchen that comes with a range of appliances; an electric stove, microwave, fridge and freezer. A separate laundry room is attached to the cottage and comes with a drying room, including two tumble dryers and two washing machines.
Three bedrooms are available, 2 twins and 1 double. All the rooms come with high quality bed linen for a restful night’s sleep. The rooms share a bathroom.
Outside there are delightful gardens to enjoy, great for small children or relaxing with a good book in the afternoon sun.
We also offer accommodation at The Main Lodge. The lodge comes with 5 double and 3 bathrooms, please enquire for details.
While staying with us you can take advantage of the estate's fabulous activities, including scenic hill walks and fishing on the River Gaur, which offers pike, brown trout, the occasional salmon and sea trout. Enjoy a memorable Loch BBQ on the long sandy beach at Loch Sron Smeur and take a dip in the water after. We also offer clay pigeon shooting, with our gamekeeper Jonny Stevenson offering an unforgettable experience.
Visiting Dunan & Exploring Perthshire
You can visit Rannoch Station, the second most remote station in Britain and also famed for featuring in Harry Potter. Enjoy a magical ride to Mallaig. There are also lots of great water sports on Loch Rannoch or take a relaxing train ride to Fort William and ski at Ben Nevis and Annoch Mhor. The area also has an abundance of scenic walking and cycling routes. Great attractions to visit include:Silver Sands of Morar.

Rates: Lodge: £4,000 for a week.
Cottage: £1,000 standalone or £500 if in addition to the lodge.
Fishing Loch: All-inclusive with the lodge for parties with the boats and the engine with some basic fishing equipment.
River and burn Fishing: All-inclusive with the Lodge.
Clay Pigeon Shooting: £100 for £100 clays, includes clays, guns and cartridges.
Stag Stalking in July/ August: £300.
Having a Ghillie for fishing for the day £100.
Damage Deposit: £500 for the Lodge/ boat engine which will be refunded when you leave if no damage has been done.
