Bricknell Cottages offers award winning self catering accommodation in Fangfoss near York. Our four cottages are at the foot of the Yorkshire Wolds and perfect for a luxurious break away.

Our cottages are on Pear Tree Farm. You will be staying in buildings tastefully converted from the old milking parlour, hay barn, stable, granary, milk dairy and calf rearing houses.

All the cottages are furnished to the highest possible standard. We have had great enjoyment in designing as we built with many little rustic turns along the way. All the bedrooms have en suite facilities and some come with double showers and large double ended baths. We have used reclaimed timber throughout to provide lots of interesting characteristics. We are sure that you will be overwhelmed by the attention to detail in these outstanding renovations.

All the cottages are warm and cosy. Two cottages are heated by ground source, the other two by air source heat pumps. These are powered by solar panels in the field and recently added battery storage. This makes our power supply almost 100% self-sufficient. Our cottages provide home from home facilities and have fridges or fridge freezers, dishwashers, washing machine/washer driers, microwave, oven and hob. Smart TVs are provided in all the cottages, both in the living area and the bedrooms. Hi-speed wifi is available.

All bed linen, towels, electricity and hair dryers are provided. You also have access to the games room. It comes complete with 7 pool/snooker table, air hockey, football table and full size table tennis table.

All of our cottages are available for various periods, from weekends to weekly bookings.

Within easy reach of our farm is the beautiful, historic city of York. You can visit the National Railway Museum, The York Eye, The Jorvic Centre, York Minster and walk on the famous city walls. We are also very handy for York races.

The Yorkshire Dales and the North Yorkshire Moors are within easy travelling distance. The Yorkshire Wolds stretch all the way from our farm to the famous East Yorkshire coastal towns of Filey, Bridlington & Scarborough. Whitby and Robin Hood’s Bay are a little further North.

Rates: £560 to £1075 per week depending on season.
From £425 for two-night weekend.
Sleeps up to 10 guests. (Ethel’s Escape and Ruby’s Retreat open up to make one cottage called The Great Escape sleeping 10 guests in five bedrooms, all en-suite.)
We can accommodate 20 people onsite if all the accommodation is booked together.
