Summary

Cogden Cottages are situated in the very pretty County of Dorset in the southwest of England. They are just outside the picture-postcard village of Burton Bradstock. The cottages lay between the coast road and the sea. This former Coastguard Station has outstanding views of the World Heritage Coast. Looking west you can see most of South Devon's coastline and to the east, you can look along the famous Chesil Beach towards Portland Bill.

About Cogden Cottages

The cottages are finished to a high standard and enjoy stunning sea views. Each cottage is beautifully furnished and comes with 2 bedrooms (mostly one double and one twin single). Cutter Cottage is slightly bigger and sleeps up to 5 people. All the cottages are close to the water and you can enjoy our private beach.

All the cottages come with Freeview TV, free Wi-Fi, a dishwasher and a wash dryer. All bed linen and towels are supplied. You can stay warm when it gets a little chilly as every cottage has gas central heating and double-glazing.

Ketch Cottage – Sleeps 5 in 2 double rooms.
Schooner Cottage – Sleeps 4 in a double and a twin room.
Brigantine cottage – Sleeps 4 in a double and a twin.
Sloop Cottage – Sleeps 4 in a double and a twin.
Cutter Cottage – Sleeps 5 in a double and a single.

Visiting Burton Bradstock & Exploring Dorset

The village offers two public houses (one being thatched), a general store (1 mile) and Post Office. There also is the Hive Beach Cafe, which is a short walk through the National Trust land adjoining the holiday park.

We are just four miles from the historic market town of Bridport, which has all the usual facilities including plenty of places to eat and drink, shopping and supermarkets, a street market (held on Wednesdays and Saturdays), a leisure centre and arts centre where there are regular performances and exhibitions.

If you travel west to Charmouth or Lyme Regis you can discover and explore the famous fossil beaches. Or you can just enjoy our wonderful coastal walks and the beautiful Bride Valley.

The Cottages are well situated to take advantage of the many places of interest. From the Sealife centre at Weymouth to Crealy Adventure Park. The Craft and Design Centre at Broadwindsor or the pre-Roman earthworks at Dorchester. To name just a few.
