Cairn Lodges offer modern, luxurious accommodation situated between Arisaig and Mallaig along the scenic old coast road, the B8008. Situated on 15 acres of tranquil hillside, each lodge is uniquely designed to blend seamlessly with the natural landscape. Four of the lodges are positioned on elevated ground, providing uninterrupted, stunning sea views across to the Isles of Eigg and Rum and the majestic Cuillin Mountains on the Isle of Skye.

Skye Lodge

Skye Lodge is a luxurious three-bedroom retreat with a unique grass roof, nestled into the hillside to offer panoramic sea views. Accommodating up to six guests, the lodge features a king-size bedroom with an ensuite shower room, a double bedroom and a bunk bedroom. The spacious open-plan living, kitchen and dining area is perfect for relaxation, complete with a log-burning fire and a main bathroom just off the entrance. Outside, a private deck with seating and a Swedish-style log-burning hot tub provides a serene spot to enjoy the breathtaking surroundings.

Rum Lodge

Rum Lodge is a spacious, luxury three-bedroom lodge also with a unique grass roof, nestled into the hillside to offer spectacular elevated sea views. Accommodating up to six guests, the lodge features two double bedrooms, one with an ensuite and a bunk bedroom. The open-plan living area, kitchen and dining space is ideal for gathering, complete with a cosy log-burning fire and a main bathroom located just off the entrance. Outside, guests can enjoy a private deck with seating and a Swedish-style log-burning hot tub, perfect for taking in the stunning views.

Eigg Lodge

Eigg Lodge is a luxurious two-bedroom lodge with a grass roof, beautifully set into the natural landscape to offer spectacular sea views across to the Small Isles of Eigg and Rum. Accommodating up to four guests, it features a double bedroom with an ensuite shower room and a twin room. The spacious open-plan living, kitchen and dining area includes a warming log-burning fire, with a main shower room just off the living space. Outside, a private deck with seating leads to a Swedish-style hot tub, providing the perfect spot to enjoy the views and savour a wee dram.

Each of our lodges has been custom-designed to harmonise with the natural contours of the landscape. They are environmentally friendly, welcoming to families and dog-friendly, ensuring a comfortable and sustainable stay for all.

Visiting the Area

The Lochaber area encompasses a vast coastal and rural region of the Scottish West Highlands, home to iconic sites like Glencoe, The Great Glen, Glen Nevis, Mallaig, Ardnamurchan and The Small Isles. This region is renowned for its stunning scenery, from the depths of freshwater lochs to white sandy beaches, towering sea cliffs, munros and majestic mountains. Positioned between Arisaig and Mallaig, our location is less than a five-minute walk from the famous Camusdarach Beach. Toward Arisaig, you’ll find the picturesque Traigh Golf Course, a scenic nine-hole course and the village of Arisaig with its charming marina, gift shop and café. The small fishing village of Mallaig features its own beautiful marina beside the old pier, where fishing boats are moored, along with inviting gift shops and restaurants.
