Coombe Farmhouse

Our large farmhouse sleeps up to 12 people and boasts a heated pool, ideal for children. Bi-fold doors from the pool area open to the patio, great for al fresco dining in the afternoon sun. The farmhouse has high ceilings and log fires in the living room, dining room and kitchen. Luxurious features include teak flooring and Persian carpets.

The Main Barn has 3 bedrooms on the ground floor: 2 twin bedrooms and 1 king-size double, all with en suite facilities and flat-screen TVs. On the ground floor, there is also a laundry room.

The first floor has high vaulted ceilings with oak A-frames and includes a fully-equipped Italian designer kitchen with a gas/electric range, fridge and freezer, ice maker, wine cooler, polished granite worktops and a central island/breakfast bar. The dining room seats 12 and the lounge includes a 47’’ 3D TV, a Blu-ray DVD player and an X-Box games system. A 12-seat cinema comes fitted with real cinema seats, a Hi-Fi system and a traditional popcorn maker.

On the first floor in the Attached Barn is a large queen-sized bedroom with a king-size bed and en suite bathroom with a separate shower. French windows open to the back garden.

The Separate Single Storey Cart Shed around 8 metres from the kitchen’s French windows offers spacious double and twin bedrooms which are linked via an en suite. The bedrooms both come with a flat-screen TV.

Outside include private garden, stone terraces and BBQ/garden furniture, with great views of ponds, streams, vineyards and the surrounding countryside.

Vine Cottage

Our cosy little house sleeps up to 2 people, perfect for a romantic getaway. The tastefully restored cottage enjoys views across the valley. Features include underfloor heating and a wood-burning stove.

On the ground floor, there is a living area with comfy seating, built-in wine/whisky storage racks, Satellite TV, a DVD player and an original stone fireplace. A small oak dining table seats 2 and the breakfast bar has 3 seats. French windows open to the terrace. The fully-equipped kitchen includes a range of appliances: induction hob, electric oven, large fridge and freezer, microwave, toaster and kettle.

The first floor has a bedroom with a king-size Vispring double bed, TV with Sky-HD, DVD player and a large Persian carpet. The large bathroom has a shower over the full-size bath and a Velux window.

Outside we have a stone terrace with garden furniture, perfect for al fresco dining whilst savouring the views of the newly planted vineyard.

Classic Yacht Charter

You can also sail on our classic yacht, Merlin of Falmouth. Moored at Mountbatten, Plymouth, she is perfect for a memorable adventure. Guests receive a 50% discount whilst staying with us.

Calancombe Estate

While staying with us you can explore our award-winning Devon Vineyard, Winery and Distillery. We make wine, Dartmouth English Gin, cyder, cassis and apple brandy.

The estate is open from 11 am - 5 pm Wednesday to Saturday (inclusive), and until 9.30 pm Friday evenings for dinner. The vineyard (just 350 yards from our properties) offers tours of the winery, wine flights, wine tasting and food, including lunches, dinner and small tapas. We use quality local produce and source ingredients from our own kitchen garden.

Visting Modbury & Exploring Devon

We are ideally located for discovering all that the local area has to offer. Less than 5 miles from us are the beaches of Bantham, Bigbury-on-Sea and Thurlestone. Play a round at Bigbury Golf Club or visit Buckfast Butterfly Farm. Activities available locally include horse riding, hiking, cycling and much more. Attractions to visit include:
