Old Bakery Cottage at The House of Bread holiday cottages in Christchurch offers fabulous self catering accommodation. We are based in a great location in Gloucestershire, only a few miles from Symonds Yat Rock and Symonds Yat East

Accommodation

The newer of our two cottages at The House of Bread, Old Bakery cottage offers a tranquil open plan layout and is beautifully furnished throughout. A welcome pack of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, milk, biscuits/cake and dishwasher tablets is provided.

Our delightful stone cottage offers lots of character and gorgeous features, including a stained-glass window and a toasty wood burner in the lounge/diner. Downstairs there is a spacious and airy lounge/dining room with a TV, DVD player, CD and comfy seating. Enjoy some home cooking in the fully equipped kitchen that comes with a range of appliances: dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave, toaster, electric oven, hob and grill.

Upstairs there is a large king room which offers wonderful views and a second room with a double or super king. Both rooms share a family bathroom.

Outside there is a beautiful patio garden with garden furniture for al fresco dining in the afternoon sun. You are welcome to use the BBQ in the large courtyard garden at The House of Bread. There is a shared hot tub available for an extra cost, with pre-booking essential (needs 24 hours to refill & heat up).

We offer further accommodation at The House of Bread in Home Cottage. In a similar way to Home cottage, the Old Bakery provide flexible accommodation to suit your needs, offering self-contained accommodation with its own entrance and a private outside space – please enquire for details.

Visiting Christchurch & Exploring the Forest of Dean

Lovely pubs serving food, local shops, a church and bus services are available in the village. Brilliant activities to enjoy include canoeing, rope courses, wine tasting, bird watching and biking. Lots of shops and restaurants can be enjoyed in Coleford, Chepstow, Monmouth and Ross-on-Wye, all within easy reach. In Monmouth, you can catch a show at The Savoy Theatre And Cinema, whilst two cinemas are also available in Coleford and Cinderford. Superb attractions to visit include:

Symonds Yat & River Wye.
Mallards Pike & Go Ape.
Goodridge Castle.
Gloucester Quays.
Westonbirt Arboretum.
Cardiff & Bristol (less than an hour away).
