Upper Finlarig Cottages offers self catering accommodation close to the village of Dulnain Bridge. Our two cottages are in a countryside position, surrounded by open fields and boasting breathtaking views of the Cairngorm Mountain Range. We are only a 10-minute drive to the town of Grantown-on-Spey and perfect for a relaxing break in a scenic part of Inverness-shire.
Accommodation
Our two cottages are situated in an elevated position. The cottages are a true haven for nature lovers looking to stay in a countryside setting. Our location is ideal for birdwatching and seeing an abundance of wildlife, with buzzards often seen flying over the hills and red squirrels regularly seen in the trees.Both cottages are tastefully furnished and sleep up to 4 people each, offering single-level accommodation. The cottages are both fully equipped and come with everything you need for a memorable getaway.
Shepherds Cottage
This cottage comes with a living room with a TV/DVD player, two sofas and an electric stove fire for the winter months. A well-equipped kitchen and dining area come with a range of appliances. Two bedrooms are available: a double and twin room. Both rooms share a bathroom with a bath and shower. Outside there is a pretty garden to the front and a private west-facing garden to the rear, both great spots for a glass of wine in the evening sun whilst admiring the stunning views.Upper Finlarig Cottage
Our cottage comes with a spacious living room with a TV/DVD player, bed sofa, a sofa, electric stove fire and patio doors that open onto the patio and garden. The fully-equipped kitchen comes with a dining area. Bedrooms consist of a double and twin. The rooms share a bathroom with a WC, washbasin and shower. Just below the cottages is a delightful stream where deer are often seen. We have also placed lots of feeders around to attract an amazing array of birdlife. Directly from the cottages you can enjoy some fabulous walks through the hills and forest whilst catching glimpses of the birds and wildlife. The village of Dulnain Bridge is a half a mile walk away and home to two hotels, a post office and a restaurant. The area also has lots of activities to enjoy, including golf, river fishing, cycling, tennis and swimming. Attractions to visit further afield include:The Strathspey Steam Railway.
