Pear Tree Cottages are a pair of self catering holiday homes, which can be found just 3 miles from Cheddar at Stoughton Cross in Somerset. The holiday cottages combine traditional features with modern convenience and are bright, spacious and comfortable dwellings that are perfect for couples, friends and families who want to visit the West Country. We pride ourselves on our extra touches and hospitality and have been recognised with many awards.

About Pear Tree Cottages

Both of our holiday homes have been converted from cow byres and are private, south facing natural stone patio areas. They provide a space for guests to sit and soak up the Somerset sunshine.

Indoors, both cottages are furnished and equipped to luxury standard, with underfloor heating beneath the natural-stone floors that keep you warm in winter and cool in summer, and a cosy wood burner as well as all the kitchen and entertainment appliances you’d expect in a comfortable modern home.

There is ample parking at the cottages and you can store your holiday goods, be they bikes, golf clubs, fishing rods or whatever, in the large secure storeroom adjoining the cottages. There, you’ll also find a portable barbecue and a sun umbrella for each cottage to help you make the most of your patio.

Cider Apple cottage sleeps 4/5 and Cherry Plum cottage sleeps 2 and a welcome package of local produce will be waiting to greet every visitor.

A fold-up Jay-be bed, travel cot, high-chair and baby bath are available on request.

We are conveniently located for those who like cycling, walking, nature reserves and visiting the many West Country major attractions, including Bath, Wells, Glastonbury, Cheddar, Bristol, Somerset Levels and the outstanding Mendip Hills.
