Summary

St Margaret's Park offers a choice of quality holiday accommodation set in the heart of Cornwall. Twenty nine self catering holiday lodges and superbly restored 18th Century Engine House nestle in six acres of peaceful parkland with a meandering stream running through the park.

Lodge Accommodation

Our range of detached lodges offer character accommodation in the range of sizes and prices. Our smaller lodges offer individual character with a variety of different layouts. Some are set on the slopes with a path or steps to reach them. This adds to their charm and seclusion but of course, may not be suitable for everyone.

Many families and older people return again and again to our excellent Type E lodges which are positioned on level lawns offering easy access to the playing field and dog walk. Those who require even more space will enjoy the Type F lodges, with their large covered verandas and positioned near the stream to give the best aspect and privacy. The spacious Type G lodges are also on the level by the stream and enjoy the addition of the third bedroom having an en suite with toilet and shower and a dishwasher in the kitchen.

All holiday lodges have outside furniture to allow you to enjoy the fine weather.

Dogs are welcomed in certain lodges providing they are kept on leads in the park and exercised in the designated walking area.

The Engine House

The Engine House dates back to 1890 when it was built to house a beam engine for the Polyear Mining operation. Now offering unique three bedroomed self catering accommodation, the Engine House enjoys a large balcony on which to relax and view the surrounding parkland. The annexe on the south side of the engine house, now bedrooms and bathrooms, would have originally housed a signal Cornish boiler to provide steam.

Ground floor entrance hall with a passage leading to 3 bedrooms, bathroom and Utility room. One double bedroom with French windows and en suite shower room, 2nd double bedroom, 3rd double bedroom with 2 single beds. All bedrooms have televisions, radio alarm clocks and hairdryers. Family bathroom with toilet, wash basin and shower over bath. Utility Room with washing machine.

This family run park is perfectly positioned for visiting The Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan and exploring the sandy beaches, quiet coves and historic harbours with abound on Cornwall's gentle south coast.

The sheltered setting of St. Margaret's makes an ideal choice for early and late holidays Throughout the year the park blossoms with a vast array of colour from the varied trees and flowers that thrive throughout the park. Bird and animal life abounds in the natural settings with even an occasional badger spotted. The squirrels and ducks are an endless source of entertainment and fascination and we have blackbirds that come regularly for their morning crumbs.
