Atherfield Green Farm Cottages are four lovely self-catering holiday cottages all sited around a central, level courtyard at Chale in the stunning South West of the Isle of Wight. All of our cottages are disabled friendly.

Honeysuckle Cottage - Sleeps 8

One bedroom is situated on the ground floor and has an en suite, fully disabled accessible wet room. Two further bedrooms can be found upstairs, one of which has an en suite bathroom. There is a generous sitting/dining room, a separate well-equipped kitchen, and an additional ground floor shower room. Honeysuckle has its own private, enclosed garden which is ideal for families with small children and/or dogs, plus a hot tub.

Rose Cottage - Sleeps 8

This is the largest internally of our four cottages and has a stunning entrance hall, with the original granary beams on display. It has three bedrooms and sleeps up to eight people. One bedroom is on the ground floor and has a fully disabled-accessible wet room. There are two further bedrooms and a shower/bathroom upstairs. Rose cottage has a generously sized, well-equipped kitchen/diner and a separate lounge with TV and DVD player. Doors are leading out to the patio area and shared garden, where there is a hot tub available for guests to use. There is an additional W.C. on the ground floor.

Lavender Cottage - Sleeps 4 plus a baby

This has a lovely light and airy feel to it with plenty of living space to choose from. The well-equipped kitchen is open plan to a recently added conservatory/diner with views onto the central courtyard and shared garden. There is a separate lounge with a television and DVD player.

The whole cottage is ground floor with two spacious bedrooms. One of the bedrooms has a fully electric profiling bed along with a standard single; the other bedroom has a super-king double bed which can be separated into two singles if required. There is a fully accessible wet room.

Wisteria Cottage

This wonderful cottage is our newest addition and boasts a hot tub, a large living space, plus 3 bedrooms. On the ground floor is a well-equipped kitchen and a lounge with Freeview TV. An en suite wet room and bathroom are available. Outside there is a semi-covered terrace for al fresco dining.

Visiting Chale & Exploring The Isle of Wight

The nearest neighbouring village is Chale Green, approximately 2 miles away, providing a village shop with Post Office, delicatessen and café. A little further afield are the well-equipped villages of Shorwell and Brighstone, both of which are very picturesque with thatched cottages and ancient churches. Both villages offer local pubs, post offices and shops. Newport, the county town of the Island, is approximately fifteen minutes away by car. Because of our rural location, we do recommend you have your own form of transport as we are not on a bus route. Concerning attractions to visit, we are approximately 2-miles from Blackgang Chine theme park, great for families, and we are ideally placed to access the stunning beaches and chines located all along the south-west coast. The family-friendly Ventnor Botanic Gardens are a fifteen-minute drive, which incorporates the fascinating undercliff. Our lack of street lighting makes our skies especially dark, fantastic for star-gazers!
