Overdale Cottage is a cosy retreat in Harome, a charming village near Helmsley in North Yorkshire. For those who are looking for a pet friendly place to stay, we are ideal. Not only are all the family welcome at our holiday home, but we are on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, so there are a plethora of walks in the surrounding area.

A well appointed and thoughtfully furnished cottage sleeping up to 2 people. The sitting room features an attractive stone hearth and open fire, just perfect for a relaxing evening to snuggle up after a long day of exploring. Our leather settee and Ekornes Stressless Voyage chairs offer that perfect comfort you may crave! There is a TV and DVD player with a selection of DVDs.

The kitchen has a country feel and is well equipped with:

Our lovely dining room has a round oak topped table with two seater leather settee.

Both of the bedrooms have delightful views of either the village or the surrounding countryside. We have a very spacious master bedroom with a king size bed and a cosy twin room with two single beds.

Outside is a lawned and fenced garden, so your children and canine companion can play safe. There is patio furniture providing a place to sit and relaxing, whilst enjoying a glass of wine after a busy day exploring your surroundings.

Harome is well located for those looking to explore the stunning Yorkshire moorlands and countryside to the North. It is a 40 minute drive to the historic city of York where you will find:

York Minster.
A variety of beautiful shops.
The famous Betty’s Tearooms.
National Railway Museum.
York Castle.
Plus much more.

A forty minute drive to the east coast offers many a delightful day on the beach or coastal paths or mooching around the beautiful seaside towns.
